"Made up my mind to make a new start,
Going to california with an aching in my heart.
Someone told me theres a girl out there
With love in her eyes and flowers in her hair.
Took my chances on a big jet plane,
Never let them tell you that theyre all the same.
The sea was red and the sky was grey,
Wondered how tomorrow could ever follow today ..." -- Led Zeppelin
Just kidding, not making a "new start". Just going to Cali for a long weekend. Disneyland Thursday, Manhattan Beach through Sunday. Hoping to go to the Farmer's Market Friday and maybe Griffith Park to get my James Dean swerve on.
I'll have internet access all weekend and will be blogging often.

Enjoy...!
Hopefully the weather is better than the overcast and high 40's we are having here in ND.
You're here!! Are you smelling the smoke from malibu? Poor malibu. Thanks for stopping by my diggs for a quick check in--and to answer your question you posed about the calendar:
Because I'm old.
*wink*
In comparison.
Hope you and yours are having a fabulous time. We are all doing well, enjoying the Fall season here. I'll be posting some personal pictures this week so drop by again!
We left about noon on Sunday. The fires had started in Malibu but we didn't know a lot then. I don't believe the San Diego fires had started at the time.
We had a great time in California. Like I've said before, I'd love to get up north sometime in your neck of the woods.
And, if you are "old", then I'm positively prehistoric. lol
You crack me up! I'm glad you had a swell time. You *MUST* come to my neck of the woods--you can have dinner and spend the night here and then pass through towards Tahoe!
You guys would love Tahoe!
What was your favorite thing about Disneyland? Did you go to the California part of the park?
What was Alex's fav?
I need to go look at your pics.
I DO love Tahoe! We passed through once when I was growing up (it's probably been 20 years) and I went again a couple years back when I had a buddy in Sacremento that I went out to visit. We took a drive up to Tahoe and goofed around a bit. I love that part of the state. When we get out there, we'd love to take you up on your invite.
Since we only were going to spend a day at the park, we decided to just concentrate on one park ... Disneyland. I think my favorite part was the Finding Nemo ride. Alex liked the Buzz Lightyear interactive one most.
I think we went at the perfect time as we didn't have bad waits and the weather was great.
