There have been many uplifting stories of rescues and good deeds by those local agencies in the area. The people of America have been amazingly supportive, generously donating, even offering their homes: Adopt a Family of Hurricane Katrina Program and Moveon.org. But history will not look back kindly on how this was handled from the top.

I am embarrased to have Denny Hastert represent me. Well not me, he's not MY district, but wtf does an asshole from Illinois have to say about rebuilding New Orleans????
Yeah, I'm sure that people that have had places in their families for generations will just willingly abandon New Orleans ... not.

We will never get control of pork with the current budget making rules. Time has come to resurect the line item veto. Since the Supremes have already pooh poohed the idea, we need a constitutional amendment
