Loco en Cabeza

Do you get the feeling that they (Bushes) are all just a few bricks short of a load?

Jeb Bush Reveals His “Mystical Warrior” Friend

I unsheath my mytical warrior quite often ... just never in public. :-)

"I'm going to bestow to you the sword of a great conservative warrior," he said, as the crowd roared.

Sounds like a joke to me.

So, does cracking a joke and using humor mean that someone is a few bricks short of a load. In that case, sign me up! If being appropriate and acceptable in society means you can't have a little fun and tell a few jokes, than i don't know if i want to be normal or acceptable!"

Hmm, WOW, what a novelty, mostly clean humor! No one is being degraded. He is willing to make himself the butt of the joke. It's something even kids would find funny and their parents don't even need to cover their ears! I think i'm liking this guy more every day.

Wow. I didn't realize we had a charter member of the Jeb Bush Fan Club.

I'm well aware that he was speaking rhetorically. The Bush's (as the article in the Gainesville Sun) have used it before.

But it's still nutty. I can't think of any politicians who have brandished a sword during a congressional session. And this is not any politician. This is a governor. This governor is the brother of the big kahuna ... son of the former big kahuna. We're talking Billy Beer territory (that might be a bit before your time). And him adding the phrases, "conservative warrior", "entrepreneurial capitalism", etc. adds to the absurdity.

And, no, he's not "a few bricks short of a load" because of this. This is merely another brick in the wall.

Nothing will top members of our senate taking part in the Moonies ritual a couple years ago... that was really a bizarro moment.

I thought wingnuts weren't supposed to have a sense of humor... :p

If a joke like this takes a brick from the wall, than i'll go with a half a wall any day!

I don't know much about Jeb Bush, but it looks like i should do some more research. He looks like my kind of guy.

It probably goes over well at the Masonic Temple, but aren't such rituals frowned upon by the fundie wingnut crowd?

p.s. this is not a knock on the Masons, ritual has it's place

GWB you have a poing... fundies wouldn't appreciate the pseudo-worship of the golden sword, would they? I mean, to them the Magic 8 Ball is a form a divination :-p

Right on Laura. "Thou shalt have no other gods before me." ... unless it's a really bitchin' sword.
