Thankfully not taking a cue from from the "see-no-evil" crowd in Washington D.C., the states of Oregon and Washington are adopting Cali's tough emissions standards:

Unfortunately, I'm sure that here in the Great Lakes region, with the auto companies grip on us, we'll be among the last!
Exactly. It said that the Pacific Coast and Northeast were going ahead, but the South and the Midwest would probably be the last to adopt such standards.
